I found myself inspired to change my LJ layout today. I thought I might use someone else's free layout and save myself some time.

So what do I do? Spend the next hour tweaking the images and CSS code.

Really.

I need a life. Or, just to kick myself back to my writing.

Have you ever had big plans (or even little plans) just to have life come up and snatch them away from you? Yes, of course you have, we all have. Its like one of those feathery little cat-teaser things. You taunt the cat, 'You want it, you know you do!' and then promptly don't let them have it.

Damnit, I want the cat-teaser feather to keep!

 I'm trying to watch Fushigi Yuugi. I really am. But this Miaka chick is really setting my teeth on edge. She's kind of a useless heroine, isn't she? So, I made the mistake of picking up those vampire books by Barbra Hambly (Ah, Those Who Hunt the Night and Traveling with the Dead .) Don't take me wrong. I love these books. Don Simon Ysidro is one of the best characterizations of a vampire I have ever read. And the author does a really nice job of creating explanations for both a vampire's ( Read more... )
